Gardening with Daddy

This year Todd is working with the girls a lot on planting seeds and seeing if they can fill up our yard a little more with trees. We want fruit trees, trees that flower, and trees that provide shade. Todd has contacts through jobs that have a lot of seeds/starter trees, so we don't have to spend a lot of money at the nursery.

Two weeks ago they planted a Silk Floss tree, avocado, mango and poinciana trees.

Last week they potted seeds for a Gumbo Limbo tree. Gumbo Limbo is a shade tree. Todd really wants this to take off because the bark is known for looking like it is peeling, kind of like sunburned skin.

Here are some pictures from potting the gumbo limbo tree seeds.

Next we are going to try a vegetable garden come Spring!
